Planning for a couponer Dream Weekend!

It is Brandsaver Weekend!!!!!

Yes that is right! Brandsaver inserts will be out in your local papers this weekend!  So don't for get to pick up you copy(s)

I personally will probably grab about 30 copies of my local paper, as this is the one insert that is worth EVERY penny you spend on the the paper, plus more! Last time around I got 30 coupons and turned that $30 investment into over $3000 worth of savings.

But don't for get you can also order these coupon online at Brandsaver.ca!  So you aren't just limited to purchasing the paper.
************
As for Shopping... Yep that is my favorite word.. here are a few deals of  the week:

Rexall has tide Laundry on for only $4.77 for a 20-30 load bottle... Well, if you pick out the 26-30 load bottles and use your brand saver coupon... you will pay only $4.54 for 2 bottles!  That is 52 loads for just $4.54, you can't go wrong with that. (Save $5 WUB 2)

Aslo check out that Charmin!  $2.99 for 8 double rolls!  But again use those Brandsaver coupons and get 2 pack for just $4.73! (Save $1.25 WUB 2)

************

Walmart Deals:

This deal I found by search Walmarts online system!  You can find great clearance deals this way... just choose your local store and print off the sale item... head instore... if you find the item, and it isn't priced as marked they will adjust as it is their stores advertisement!
Toaster Struddles and Pillsbury have coupons available ATM on Save.ca for $1 off... so you end up paying just $1 for these yummy treats

Eventhough I am highly allergic.. I can't pass up this deal for the husband (he uses on work clothes and jackets, yep he as to do his own laundry if he want fleecy!)  One of the inserts had $1 off the sheets or $1.50 off the liquid coupons a few months back!  So I guess I will be using up any left overs I have.

************

As many of you know I hate Superstore!  It is overpriced, and so not worth your time and money... but I did spot a few things you might wish to consider...

This deal is EXTREMELY good!! Yah Superstore for doing a good promo... and YES, I will be participating... Buy 5 Quaker items (read the small print) one must be a Tropicana fruit juice of any kind... and received a $25 PC Gift Card for FREE... so...

Oatmeal is on of $1.98 and Tropicana you can get for lets say about $4... so for just under $12 you can get a $25 GC.. which you know you won't put to waste!  But the best part of this deal... is I have FPC (Free product coupons) that I just got in the mail for the last Quaker promo... so now I can get a $25 GC, for simply using those coupons up at Superstore!!  So my FPC's get me FREE MONEY!!

Another great deal can be found on cereal....

While Froot Loops are a NO GO in my house, Frosted Flakes are my youngests favorite!  So combined this sale with the Buy 3 Save $3 coupon that is on the Coupon Zone wall ATM... and you get really cheap cereal... Sadly they limit the price to the first $2... so grab another Kelloggs cereal that is on for a different price (ie Raisen bran is on for $2.49) and use the coupon... If you don't like Raisin Bran try it with brown sugar on it!!  And I wonder why I am fat?

Last but not least:

This coupon can be print offline if you pull up there flyer (I couldn't this morning because it seems glitched) but you can also get it from there coupon zone wall.... I know many people have found different Swiffer Starter Kits on sale for as low as $4.88... so FREE with this coupon!  Check out your store!

************

Next store.... Well No Frills... We, have a love HATE relationship... I love their prices, they HATE my coupons... so I find them really a hit and miss deal shop... BUT

I will be heading in for these if I go that way, or having the hubby stop in... as I have the $2 coupons for the 16 pack Eggos that are on the boxs of different Kelloggs Cereals ATM!  Making a box of Waffles just $1.29!  But be prepared for a fight if you head to mine... and if they do give you issues write Head office, as they have been told to smarten up!  As we all know they are to accept the coupons based on Loblaws polices.

************

Then there is Giant tiger!  Well lets just say they SUCK!  The EAST gets the deals while the WEST gets a slap in the face!  It is so bad, I wrote the company a few weeks back... As we only ever have deals on Best Value (No Name Crap)... Making them so not worth shopping at... Well they have offered me a $10 GC for free, just so I can go try the Best Value Crap...  I don't think I will... but time will tell....  But SADLY NO DEALS THIS WEEK EITHER!

************

How about Zellers... Well every few weeks I find a great deal here.. but truthfully they get TONs of my coupons and a bit of my money... as I price match left, right and centre here!  As I get an additional 10% off with my SPC!  So their Price Matching policy and the SPC card, make me a Happy Customer... This week however.. they have the Lysol Heathly Touch systems on forL

But don't forget the MIR (mail in rebate) that was in the past 2 smartsouces (if you don't have a copy, send me a SASE, and I will mail you one)... And in the end you will get your money back... Last time I did this rebate I got it back REALLY quickly!

************

Last, but NOT LEAST!!  Calgary Coop, has some great deals... Don't underestimate the little guys!  The trick is knowing your prices, and watching there sales but Coop's 10 for 10 sales, tend to be good... Here are some deals that stood out to me:

These are one of my fave's!  but I only get them when they go on for 10/$10!!  Time to stock up, as they have the easiest last minute meal and get great rice, pasta or potatoes and any veggie imaginable!

YUMMY!  Good fats for Cheap!  and a treat I know the kids won't eat

This is a great price for juice boxes for the kids lunches, but after watching this video I might pass on them!  Nothing against Coop, just juice boxes as a whole!

Pick you these and use your Save $1 WUB 2 coupons found in SMP Pogos!  and get them for just $0.50 a piece!

Who doesn't love Chocolate?? Especially Peanut Butter and Chocolate combined!

Goes to provide, the small guess can out do the Big guess... This is even a better deal then No Frills (post here also)... So I guess Coop has saved me a trip this week!

This is the time to stock up on Stouffers/Lean Cuisine.  Remember for every 12 you purchase you can get a can enter the codes online to get a $10 GC and $15 in free product coupons!  So over all with this deal you gain $1 and get tons of food out of the deal!

Match this deal with your Buy 4 Save $2 coupons that were out a couple months ago in little booklets found in store... and stock up for just $0.50 a can

Basilli's Best is actually not bad, for processed food, and great for a quick lunch along with a nice salad... But remember that adding this sale price to Basilli's offer (Buy 6 Get 1 FREE, found here)... makes them even a better deal!

That's it for now folks!  Off coupon hunting I go, then to prep for this weeks deals!  Now remember all these deals start Tomorrow!

What the past weeks shopping has brought in!

This week I did OK, not out of this world.. but here is what I was about to get... and in the end was only out of pocket $61.77... $36.64 of that was TAX :(   These deals were found at my Favorite store of all, London Drugs...  With a few deals found at Zellers and a SCOP from Walmart on the broom...

I now have a life time supply of Biore for the whole family, and enough make-up to make some lucky lady very happy in her time of need.  Along with Laundry Soaps, Dog Foods, Cat treats, lotions and Sooooo much more!

Zout, Damn Spot!

RCSS has Purex Complete with Zout on for $3.98... and if you go to their coupon boards they have a coupon zone coupon for $2 savings... So each bottle will only cost you $1.98!

How to stock up on 'FREE' Ground Beef

Right now Hamburger Helper has a WONDERFUL coupon on it for Save $3 WUB Ground Beef... No limitations, and a long term expiry...

Giant Tiger has Hamburger Helper on for $1.67 a box, but sadly my GT didn't have the specially marked boxes... But you can take that flyer to Walmart (that currently has them on for $1.87) and Price Match!  So for $1.67 I was able to get my Hamburger Helper, and $3 of FREE Hamburger!!

So this is how I did it... I had coupons leftover from HH's last promo, of but HH and get a free bag of Green Giant Veggies... We took those coupons with us on our first trip, and grabbed 10 boxes of HH.. and 10 bags of GG veggies...

Then we returned home, cut out the coupons and instructions... Put the contents of the box (noodles and seasoning) and the instructions into a Ziploc bag (which we got free at London Drugs last week)... Then headed back to Walmart... Coupons in hand, and grabbed 10 more boxes (with coupons on them) and 10 packs of Hamburger.... I will do this now until the Specially marked boxes are all gone... As $1.67 is much better then $3 for hamburger!

The Medium Ground Beef is $3 a pack at Walmart for 500g and the Lean Ground Beef is $3.25 a pack So this time I got half Medium and Half Lean, so I can determine how much fattier the Medium is... and make my own decision on which is better... (I do like fattier burger for BBQ season, as it adds much more flavour)

For those of you who don't like HH, because it is full of sodium ... Toss the seasoning packs!  Keep the noodles... and get the hamburger for $1.67!  Remember there are always ways to save money, you just have to be SMART about how you shop.

Shoppers Redemption, Educating Walmart, John Frieda Score and my Good bye to Costco!

Two trips to 2 different Shoppers Drug Mart to do my redemption... as the first Store didn't carry the Paper towels I was after!  So this meant I had to come up with additional items to purchase... So I ended up grabbing $50 worth of Easter Candies.  These will come in handy but certainly were not planned for.

If you haven't been out to the new Shoppers Drug Mart in Airdrie, I would say it is WELL worth the Gas!  The staff is amazing, they have a large food section, which includes produce and they are COUPON FRIENDLY!

A break down of what we were able to get for a net GAIN of $4.50

Total  $215.50

Optimum Point Redeemed

Then there was my price matching trip to Airdrie Walmart

My couponing Pal went out to Airdrie Walmart yesterday to price match the Adidas Deodorant, and was denied, so I figure I would try... and education them!  So as I was heading that direction for other reasons.. I went on over, with my Rexall and Pharmasave Flyers...  The cashier had no issues price match, at first though you could only price match 1 item for a max quantity of 1... We got that fixed really quickly when a CSM came on over.   Then I presented my coupons! OMG the world came to an end... She said she could not Price Match use a coupon on the same product... I asked her to get her manager... She called the CSM over again, who sad NO... I then asked her to get her Manager... She walked away and said she confirmed it was NO.. I asked to personally talk to the manager, up walked another CSM.. So I asked "Are you the Manager?"  She replied No, So again, I asked for a manager... The first CSM called someone, and said I would like to speak with him... Up came the Assistant Manager... who did indeed confirm, that YES I can Price Match and Coupon!  This all on a Saturday afternoon, at peek time...  Yes I did cause a line up.. but in the end the CSM (who was always very nice), thanked me for getting the rules confirmed.  I am sure everyone will go on break when I enter that store again!

Total OOP for 8 Deodorant, and 6 body wash was  $7.63

******

Now off to Rexall!  My Pal (the bestest in the world), told me about some awesome clearances found out at the Rexall in Airdrie....  As I am a bargain hunter, I can never pass up an amazing deal!

I got everything in that above photo for just $11.21!  All was on clearance and if I were to have purchase it at full price, it would have cost me over $200!!  So I left the store doing a happy dance. I finally have a nice stock of a good product that is perfect for ME!  Yep, this bunch is for me!  Not hitting the donation pile... Me, Me, Me!
******

Prior to couponing, I thought, like so many other, the answer was buying in bulk... So I have the fancy dancy Costco membership that for years proved valuable for me... Well, not so much now!  My refund cheque was only $37.27...  Well, we went and spent it today, prior to my membership expiring, which I have NO intentions of renewing and here is what I got! (plus $0.50, back in my pocket for the money remaining after tax)

I will miss their garbage bags, the oxo deal and their Salt and pepper grinders... So that is what I picked up today!  But from here on out, I will have to find an appropriate substitute for these items, or con a friend with a membership to take me shopping.  Oh, and when we were leaving I found a loonie on the ground!!  So net GAIN $1.50!

Print your own coupons here! Not only do you have the ones you received in the mail.. but you can take a few more years off your life by printing more, and eating more craptastic grease! I know I will be! I love egg mcmuffins! and they are open for breakfast at 5 am, so works nicely for me.

What a Toonie could get you if the Goverment didn't tax you first!

A day of deal shopping can do wonders for the soul!

Zellers was my first stop...

14 Fleecy 20count Fabric Softener Sheets $1 each - 10% SPC - $1 coupon x 14= ++$1.40
14 Fleecy 25 load Liquid Fabric Softener $2 each - 10% SPC - $1.50 coupon x 14 = $4.20
4 Adidas Deodorants $2 (clearance) - 10% SPC - $2 coupon x 4 = ++$0.80

Total OOP :  $2.00

Walmart was my second stop..

I did a BAD thing... I got my Son into Stacking!

He has watched me day after day, searching the net, finding the hot deals.  He has joined me on many of my day long "hunting" trips... Then finally he asked me if he could join me and learn how to stack... What is a mother to say?   As painful as it was, I taught him the "art" of stacking.. I gained many more grey hairs, and will have to put all that hair dye to use soon... but here is what he got this evening for

A special thanks to my son for helping lay out the deals and photographing them, so we could share it all with you.

My $0.88 shopping trip to Wallyworld this morning

It isn't just London Drugs that you can find "Free" stuff at...

This little shop cost us just $0.88 .... and this is how:

6 Satin Care... $1 each - 6 x Save $1 coupons ... = FREE
(coupons were from the Brandsaver insert found in the newspapers at the beginning of January)

3 Herbashine ... $2 each - 3 x $3 coupons = GAINED $3
(coupons are currently on store shelves, Not walmarts, as they don't "allow companies to hang coupons)

2 MarroBones ... $3.88 each - BOGO coupon = $3.88
(Coupon came from Save.ca)
So using the GAIN from the Herbashine towards my MarroBones... Enabled my great Deal... Now not all cashiers or stores will do this... but I lucked out today!

How to get 18,500 Shoppers Optimum point for "FREE"

Well as close to free as possible... The government does their job, and charges you GST, and sadly I have not yet figured out how/where to find a coupon for this!

Monday thru Friday of next week if you spend $75 at Shoppers Drug Mart you receive a bonus of 18,500 Shoppers Optimum Points... To take advantage of these great deals, and to do it for well less then the $75 stated... Match your coupons with there Sales...

Well I found this sale in the flyer:

And Right now on Shoppers Shelves you should find $4 Advil Nighttime coupons that are good on ANY Advil Nighttime product... This makes these FREE!!!  Yes you store will have to agree to round the coupon down the $0.01 ... Some will and some will not  (Saddleridge Calgary will not, as they will not do a darn thing for anyone that presents a coupon... but Falconridge will.. so head that way!  They are a much friendlier group of people!)

So in the end if you were to purchase 19 boxes (please don't clear the shelves), use the coupons you could get the 18,500 points for GST/HST only ... that is just $3.79....  Not bad turn around!

But if you can't do it, because of stock issues there are many other options out there... Multibonia Vitamins cost $14.99 a box ATM... and there was a $10 coupon a few weeks back for them... this too, would greatly help you keep that total down.

I know I will be getting my week supply of Coke... to help bring down my outage (this is budgeted for each week already)  and a stock of Dr. Oetker Pizzas that I was able to get a bunch of $2 coupons last week when we went to our FREE Family Movie Night... and they are on for only $3.99!  So a 50% savings there!

Never miss out on Shoppers bonus days, buy your milk, bread, whatever it is you need, because really their prices on these items are GREAT and the extra benefits from the point make any price difference well worth it.

$9.39 for 312 Load of Laundry!

A last minute trip to London Drugs to meet up with my couponing Pal... And now I am stocked up for a good 6 months in the laundry soap department... Not that I wasn't already... but this was a deal I couldn't pass...

Before approaching the till, I talked to Customer Service to see if the Stack I had for the Tide was legit... and Yes, it was... She pulled out a recent memo they got from Head Office, and read over it... It went on to say that they value there Stackers and what stacking does for London Drugs!  So off we went to get the Tide!  I had enough Stacks with me for 10 bottles,  I picked up 6 of the Tide 'Free' as it is the only Tide I can use... and gave my coupon buddy the other stacks... So she was able to get 4 bottles... at just $1.49 for 52 Loads!

Working together with others proves profitable!  So find your buddy and get at it!

To top it off, my son did his first stack tonight!!  The 4 Crest on the left are his!  He went through my coupons, and made his trees.... He got 4 Crest Pro-Healths for $1.56 after Tax... Not bad... but I asked him what he was going to do with it...  But he didn't know... I fear I may have created a monster!
